Surface temp vs ambient temp with DHP and CHE
I use a DHP on the warm side of my enclosure and a CHE on the cool side. My surface temps seem to be ok, 87-90 on the warm side and 80-82 on the cool side. However, the ambient temps on both sides are in the low 80's. It seems like the DHP heats up the surface more than the air, and the CHE does the opposite, has this been the experience of other people? Are these temps ok?

Your temps are good. As I understand it, DHPs raise ambient temp indirectly by projecting heat into the substrate and furniture. The substrate and furniture then radiate heat that warms the air. It takes a while. How long have you been running the DHP?

Thanks for the reply. I've been running the DHP for about a week now.

That a good amount of time. I would guess that your temps should be stable by this point, and those temps seem fine to me.
