    Razgriz - Tarahumara Boa
I recently picked up Razgriz, my tarahumara boa. He's absolutely beautiful! He's so calm for how little he is. And is quite confident. Born 7/9/23.

Nice! I just picked up a second pair today for a total of 2.2 now. Love all the tiny locality boas. Who produced this critter?

    Congrats! They are beautiful boas.

He was bred by Stephen at scalybabies. It was a good experience buying from him.

He's pretty bold for being so new. While timid, he hasn't been defensive. No hissing or striking and he is very calm and sniffing about after only a couple minutes of holding him. He paced around for hours on the first day until I placed him under a hide. Then he didn't come back out.

He is a precious bean. I love him so much. He didn't want to let go of his safety leaf lol. His tail was totally wrapped around it.

You gotta love a snake with a "security blanket".

I thought Tarahumara's weren't arboreal. Ever since I let Raz roam his entire enclosure he choose to climb to the top of his tree stump and only ever sleeps there. Despite having hides he never wants to use them now that he has the option to go up high. I may have to make him a sky hide. He LOVES squishing himself up there in the third pic on his tree stump's ledge.

I think a tree stump isn't quite the same as arboreal- & I can totally see why he loves that- many other snakes would also. Even "ground dwelling" snakes do some climbing. Rosy boas, for example- in nature, they often climb into shrubs, but they're a long way from being "arboreal".

He's a beautiful boa, btw. :sweeet:

I got two of my Tarahumaras from him. I'm glad he's still around and breeding, he's really nice and his critters are just stellar.

During nicer weather I have a "boa tree" in my front yard that is just tall enough where I can grab the upper branches and bend them down to get the snakes out if they don't climb down on their own eventually. I let my smaller snakes play in it. The Taras really love it.
