I absolutely LOVE the "sensor push" for Smeagols tank.
It's a tiny little square sensor that you can hang or lay down in your enclosure.
It connects to your phone via Bluetooth and gives you the current temp and humidity and whether they are rising or falling.
Better yet, it will give you statistics for the past hour, past day, week, month and year. Will tell you the highest and lowest and average that the Temps and humidity has been during these time frames.
I find that very helpful since you are supposed to bring humidity up daily..but also let it drop in between. And make sure Temps do not go to high...
I'm going to post some screen shots off of the app next [emoji4]

PS you can also buy the wifi router so that you can check Temps and humidity while away. I don't need that, though..I just wanted something with a smaller footprint in the cage as as well as very spot on. Mine is hanging under his coconut hide.

As you can see, there is one temp spike where it reached 82! To warm for a Crestie. We had a power outage...scary!

Okay, that sensor thing is amazing. I may have to invest once I get my PVC cages in.

    Yeah, I figured

Only the best for our babies, right ??? :)

I do think that these are awesome when it comes to keeping a species such as Rhac. Geckos. Esp. since they need a range of high to more moderate humidity in a 24 hour period. And temps going to high (or low) can quickly cause issues, esp. to high.

It really helps to go back and have a peek at the ranges through the day/week/ etc

Well, congrats Ezzy, you already have your parents well trained !!! Only the best, girl...only the best :D

I have also figured out that the wood deco tends to mold more quickly. I now spray the (fake) plants as well as the spaghnum moss I keep in his coconut and on his floor. That moss is the bomb. It holds humidity like awesome, but never molds. And it dries out nicely in between.

You could add some in a area of the cage, perhaps in a shallow container, and also mist it. It will keep some humidity in the cage and on top of that, if she feels the need (before or during shedding, or when wanting to hide) she can burrow in it :)

Smeagol LOVES to get under that moss...

If you have mold on the wood you can use some of the F10 on a paper towel and rub it off, it usually doesn't come back, unless its to wet again.

Esmeralda (Ezzy) is doing great. Katie's doing a great job with her and keeping her tank clean and they are continuing to bond.

Katie did the full monthly cage cleaning the other day, with full F10SC treatment, etc.

I had a chance to hold the cutie (in this case, I am referring to Ezzy :)).
