Underappreciated Ball Pythons - rehome them?
    Hello all,

I have 2 ball pythons that my family adopted 6 or 7 years ago. I'm at a point where I'm really just a caretaker, and I can't shake the feeling that they would be better off with a family that appreciates them more.

My first thought was to put them up for sale on FB Marketplace or something and screen potential buyers accordingly. But then I remembered this forum and thought I'd reach out and see if anyone is in the Edmonton, Alberta area and might be interested. I guess I figure if you're on this forum, you're less likely to acquire some snakes on a whim or otherwise be unequipped to keep them healthy.

I don't really know where to put this topic since I'm just feeling things out at this point. A part of me feels guilty, but I also feel guilty having these amazing creatures left unappreciated.

Let me know if you are interested, or have any advice.

    Thanks.

Feeling as you do & under the circumstances, there's nothing "wrong" with wanting to rehome these snakes. I assume your family basically lost interest, & hey, it happens.

Besides this forum, you might also try local ads, & also check with veterinarians in your area- they may know someone, or even someone on staff might be interested. Some vets also have a bulletin board for pets needing new homes, so that's another way to reach out- & at least you'll know that anyone who responds is someone who already takes their pets in for vet care.
