Dented?

so i was looking over my ball today and the first thing i noticed is that he was going into shed (pinkish belly). and then i saw that one of his eyes are dented? what causes that? the humidity levels are at like 50-60 percent. but now i am trying to bump them up. but what should i do about it?

It is probably a retained eyecap from a previous shed. Just watch to make sure it comes off during the next shed.

I adopted a BP last december.. he had incredibly dented eye caps for a few months. After the first shed, the dents were still there. After the second shed, they were completely clear.

I know the eye caps came off both times. What caused it? You tell me.

I'd just try to bump the humidity up a little bit and don't worry about it.

i have no clue what would have done it, but ya im not planning on worrying about it to much not unless it stays

This could also be a sign of slight dehydration. Try a little soak in luke warm water a couple times a week and make sure it has 24 hour access to fresh water.

Soak your bp for about 15 minutes in lukewarm water, and mist the enclosure. It should go away that night, or during the next shed, as long as proper humidity is retained.

raise the humidity in the enclosure. Dented eye caps are a result of low humidity.

I upped my humidity and the next morning it was gone. :gj:
