What's the best set up for my 4ft ball python
She's very sweet, and active. We're getting her a 55 gallon tank within a week. What is the best way (bedding, vines, water bowl, etc) I should set up her tank?

I'd strongly recommend doing as much research as you possibly can before your new arrival comes home. Here are two links that will help point you in the right direction:
- Ball Python (Python regius) Caresheet
- How to Setup a Glass Tank (20 long) With Pictures!
Good luck with your new additon!

Re: What's the best set up for my 4ft ball python
I've owned one before but she was still a baby. Saddly my roommate gave her away while I was on vacation (long sad story I don't really wanna get into) but I never had a 4ft one. My main issue is on the care sheets it saws they'll only need a 40 gallon but I feel like it's way to small..... I was wanting to move her to a 55 gallon. And I keep getting mixed answers on what bedding. I have Eco earth for her now, but with the one I had before her had just regular coco bedding. She really liked it. I'm just stuck on those two things...

Here's my current setup. I don't know if it's the "best" but Mr Burrows seems to be okay with it. UTH is on left side, controlled with Herpstat 1. 2 hides are same size and shape. I only use the lights for warmth in winter, because my apartment can get cold.
Water bowl front right. Cork round at back with some fake vines draped around for coverage. He sometimes moves them around the tank. Cork flats and a small bit of flat slate to give him a few different textures to crawl over and sit on.
The local store sells 3 coconut husk bricks at a discount, and I generally soak 2, put them in the enclosure and then crumble the 3rd brick dry under and around the hides.
3 sides wrapped with plastic background; Reflectix on top with some holes cut for lights and ventilation.
He recently spun the warm hide so that the opening is facing forward! My first thought was to put it back as in this photo, but if he wants it that way I'm going to leave it the way he put it.
