check EVERY place you can imagine that your bp would think of
as dark, snug, and usually warm. Underneath a couch, (even inside it) underneath your fridge,
heck, look in and under the dishwasher, and oven. Don't forget bathrooms, closets, under beds...
It's hard to say where they go, or how they know to go to that certain spot.
Before I got mine in tubs, I used to ALWAYS find Loki in the dishwasher.

Good luck finding your little one!

check anywhere dark and possible warm. When is the last time you fed him I would buy a mouse and leave it in the room as a kinda bait trap and see if he comes out. Try placing a heat lamp in the middle of the room also. How big is he?

A few weeks ago my corn got out and I found him curled up under a blanket. Check the obvious places first so you can rule them out.

Re: where do bp's go to hide when they excape there tubs

I've found mine, i just can't get him out. I fed him 2 mice a week and 3 days ago so he should be getting hungry, so I set a scent trap. He is in between a built in bench/cupboard, and has crawled behind it. I can't see him any more, so i just hope he can smell the mice. speaking of which, how strong is a BP sense of smell?
I'm really nervous. He's been there for almost a day and hasn't come out. I slept in the room over night just to make sure he wouldnt come out without me knowing. I know their nocturnal so now that the mouse is placed there is he likely going to come out at night? And if he dosent, will he. I dont want to put heat on him, because he'll just feel more comfortable and will be less likely to come out. my dad thinks he'll come out but i want a more experienced answer. I probably shouldn't get so worked up about this... but i just feel so stupid... well, thanx

look in the tightest, darkest spot, closest to the place of escape. If you don't think he can be some where, that is where he is.

I once had a cooler on the dining room table. I put the ball python in the cooler while cleaning out the tank. I got side tracked, and came back an hour later. To my horror the ball was gone.

Well to make a long story short, I searched the entire room... from top to bottom. did this for about 4 hours. at the end I was litterally crying like a baby (I am 32 years old). Then, my wife found him. No more then 3 inches from the cooler. he had climbed inside of the paper towl roll sitting on the table! I still to this day have no idea how he could have possibly gotten his big butt in there. but, he did it. he was totally concealed in the roll. the only way my wife found it was that the paper towls weighed way more then they should have. I actually had to cut the roll to get him out!

Point is, look EVERYWERE imaginable within about 10 feet of where it escaped.

They are usually in the last place you check
