Yesturday I made some tall tub rat homes for my grow up ASF's. I got the plans from a few different threads from this forum... sorry, I don't know who the origional creater was. Someone please chime in with this info so the origional person gets their due credit!!!

Anyways, You know me, I had to creat an efficent lab block hopper for my Mazuri 6f. It had to be a little different then my tank hopper because the top of the tub is NOT chew proof.... So I had to make a design that would not allow them access to the top of the tub. So here is what I came up with.

Note that because it is actually attached to the tub, the rats can't reach the zip ties in the back. This allowed me to use normal zip ties to hold it together, and to adhere it to the tub. I only had to use 2 stainless steel zip ties for the door hinges. That means the total cost for this project is only about $1.25 per hopper.

My origional cut was 22 squares by 17 squares... Make that cut, then use my other "ASF tank lab block hopper instructions with detailed pics!!!" to figure out the rest. The end result is a hopper that is 12 squares long, 6 squares high, and 4 squares deep. I figure it to hold at least 1 1/2 pounds of lab block (forgot to weigh it before attaching to tub!!!!)

What can I say, I like PINK!

Thank you VERY much whoever came up with the tub idea. It was incredibly easy and inexpensive to make. Hopefully this feeder will help everyone tweak it a bit.
