Very nice pickup! I've been watching the mystics for a while. They definately pack some power. Does anyone know if they proved a super yet??? The mystic potion is reason enough to get one.

    Re: Mystic Pics

Congrats on the new addition Louis. I think you will come to really enjoy the colors on that boy over time. Good luck with your future projects with him. If I can get a bit lucky, I may have up to 5 combos with the Mystic this year.

    Jordan,
The Super has yet to be proven. I know of three people that are trying for it this year, but no eggs yet as far as I know.

A good many people believe that to be the case. I guess we'll know more once the Super is produced.

    Purple snakes here we come . . . .
Thanks Alice! There should be some cool combos produced this year. In the post above, Tim Bailey says he could produce as many as 5 Mystic combos this year. I can hardly wait to see them.

    Re: Mystic Pics

Now I'm lost.. could you explain the genetics of a Mystic, even slightly?

If your saying that this is snake was sired by a Mystic, then it either would have to be recessive or a co-dominant single-gene (what it looks like from it's traits, is that it's different and could be co-dom)..
So if it's co-dom, wouldn't the super be the actual purple Mystic?? So why are you all talking about 'proving a super'?

    I'm very lost..

Hi Jess! I'll do my best to answer your questions.

The snake I posted pics of is a Mystic, as was his father. Mystics have been proven dominant, but since a super hasn't been produced yet, it has not been proven to be co-dominant.

The Mystic Potion (the purple snake) is a combination of Mystic x Mojave. It isn't a Super Mystic.

Here's a link to Tim Bailey's webpage on Mystics. He has some pics of his Mystic along with some info. (Hope you don't mind Tim)
