Re: My corn snake escaped. Help!

Check the kitchen really well. I found a corn snake in my kitchen last year, put it in a 10 gallon tank with paper towels and a little flexwatt and threw a rat pink in for him, let him go the next morning. I did the same thing with a blue racer that i did manage to take pics of so i will post them up tonight.

Re: My corn snake escaped. Help!

SIGH... another loved pet lost because the idiots at pet stores know Nothing about the animals... Grr

Young corn snakes, aside from being able to climb superbly and lift themselves nearly straight up, are excellent escape artists. If there's even the tiniest opening they'll find it and get out.

So Sorry to hear that yours flew the coop, but don't give up hope. Place a lamp with a low watt bulb over a nice spot against a wall (where you can still see) or place a hide over a low heat heating pad. I've heard of corns that got out being found months later, so don't despair.
    Good luck!

Re: My corn snake escaped. Help!

Just try all the tricks everyone posted and don't give up!

I've only had one snake get out of a cage - an adult male ball python - I was wondering why my cats were so interested in one of my boa cages and when I got up to see what they were looking at my ball python was curled up on the top of the boas cage because it was warm there. He was probably only out for a couple hours and I didn't even know he was missing, I got lucky! Lucky the cats didn't hurt him while he was out too.

A little white snake will be a lot harder to find then a big ball python, I wish you luck! Keep us posted!
