    Headless Pastel...

So we cut this clutch on day 53, looked like 4 pastels, 4 normals and this....

When we first cut it was moving

It was no longer moving tonight when we got home and we could see what appeared to be a large kink so we decided to remove it from the egg and see what was going on. Well we weren't expecting this.

Whoa!! thats nuts! I've read that ball's can be born missing an eye or 2 from temps fluctuating too much during incubation but this I've never seen before. That stinks, sorry man.

    Wow.

I have to say that is a first that I have seen.

It would have still been moving due to still being connected to the egg yolk that provided it all the nutrients and sustenance.

Thats very interesting. Thank you for sharing!

That is one of the more astounding defects I've seen. I wonder if there is brain tissue inside the lump? How very strange, and thank you for sharing. Very sorry for the loss.

That is just unbelievable! At first I thought this thread was going to be silly in some way. I am very sorry for your loss.
