First with fish and now a fear of birds?

I'm not sure I can help as I just don't understand being so afraid of a bird you can't go to one's house...... Unless it's an ostrich. Maybe then.

When it comes to fear I think it's best to simply face it. So get over there and hold the tweety bird.

I guess some people are like that ... our son in law seems fearless.. he’d fight anyone who wants it ... but he runs at the sight of a fly / wasp / butterfly ... he was even terrified of some 5 day old ducklings they were looking after over the weekend ..

    Inexplicable tbh

IDK, something about them just puts me off. Maybe i'll try and hang with the bird to conquer my fear. Who knows, we might even become friends.:cool:

Birds , especially birds flying indoors are totally unpredictable ... even budgies flying at your face can be unsettling for some

Maybe you watched that old Alfred Hitchcock horror-movie, "The Birds"? If you haven't seen it though, DON'T! ;)

Have you seen the classic film. The Birds?

Edit : Sorry didn't notice the post above saying the same thing.

But seriously, I fear spiders, its irrational but it is real for me.

I believe the current belief is gradual exposure. Leading to desensitisation.

So maybe give it a try

Did we establish that it is in fact an ostrich?

    Emu?

    Turkey Vulture?

    Some bird of prey?

These I think I could understand.

I had a friend that had Emus. Tip* if you're wearing a ball cap turn it backwards. Otherwise they'll try to peck it and you don't want to catch that beak in the face.
