    built my first rack
I used a 24x36 shelf set from home depot, each shelf will hold two 28qt sterilite tubs side by side, it comes with 5 shelves but I am only using 3 for now. I put 1/4" white melemine on the bottom and top of each shelf. The shelves are vented so I wanted to help prevent heat loss that's why I put it on the bottom. The shelves are 50 a set and can do 8 tubs total. It would take two shwets of melemine for a whole set. So 80 bucks is about as cheap as I could figure out for making it. Also target had the 28qt tubs on sale for 4.50 each.

I only have 3 snakes in it now but ready to expand as needed.

The tank on top has a 4ft columbian rainbow boa.

Right now there are four 6" strip of 11" heat tape hooked up to a herpstat 1 basic. I am going to be ordering 12 ft of 6" heat tape to redo it with also to have it ready for adding more shelves.

Is the shelf made of plastic or metal? Do you have a link for it on their website?

Nice!! I just built the same rack. I used two of those shelves and I made mine where I have four shelves reserves for 41 qt bins, three shelves for six 28 qt bins, and two shelves for eight 6 qt bins. I'll be running 3" heat tape for hatchlings, 4" tape for the sub adult snakes/ adult males and 6" tape for my big girls. I used 1/8" white board panel on the bottom of each shelf. Works great!

Yup pretty much the same set up I have for how I made it. I am going to be redoing the heat tape with each tin having 12" of 11" heat tape that way it can work with both 28qt and 41qt when I expand

I am picking up two more tomorrow a 2200ish gram normal female who laid 7 eggs last year. And a 900 gram mojave male I want to make some babies this year I don't want to wait haha. I'm getting the pair for 200 delivered.

As for a link here ya go
