    ASVAB Practice Test
What is the passing score for the ASVAB test? I got a 48% on the practice exam, is that good considering I'm still in high school?

No idea :confusd: A recruiter would be the one to ask- It's not likely even the same test currently being given, compared to ones given in the past, so scoring may also be different.

From what I know with the army the lowest passing score is a 31. So, yes! I'd say that is good. I've had a few friends pass through that program and they scored similar if not lower.
-However while there is a minimum requirement to join, from what I know it's more of a reflection of what you do know and there is no hard pass or fail above a 31. :)
(I'm not in the program, this is just what I've heard from friends!)

The thing about tests given by the military is that higher scores will give you more options about what training you can enlist for. The military wants to make sure you succeed at their jobs, so test scores are used to predict that & help guide you into jobs where you'll be successful. That's not the same thing as being "happy" with your job, they just need you to be able to do it. ;)

Are you taking it to get into the military or as a graduation requirement? according to this article: "The standardized score received by around half of the ASVAB test takers for each section is 50 or higher. Less than 20% of the test-takers earn a score of 60 or higher. Therefore, the average ASVAB score is 50."

48% isn't bad. In Indiana (I'm not sure what state you are in) the SAT, ACT, or ASVAB is required to graduate, with a minimum ASVAB score of 31%. I'm using my SAT score to graduate but my boyfriend used the ASVAB when he graduated in 2021 and said it was very easy.

    Hope this helps. Good luck!

It's not a requirement to graduate, but I would like to join either the Air Force or the Navy once I graduate college. In KY, they require the ACT to graduate and it is recommended to take the SAT, but we don't have to.
