Don't know if I should be telling people this buttttt.....

Hey, so I'm originally from Louisiana and I just figured out that my family on my dad's side was part (and still might be) of the NOLA Irish Mob... Don't know what to do about that. Parents broke the news to me the other day, anddddd, I don't know what to do. Should I be worried, freaking out, what the heck do I do? Apparently my great grandpa was delivered a black rose on his doorstep... :confuzd:

EDIT -Also, I'm not part of any of this "family business" stuff, I'm just curious and want to know more. Parents wont tell me anything else...

I suggest you accept advice regarding this situation only from people you trust who also have experience dealing with it.

I've never heard of the NOLA Irish mob so I looked it up real quick- it sounds like it's no longer active? I hope? But it's good for you to be aware of family history, I guess, in case it ever comes up somehow. We can't pick our parents (or family history) anyway, all we can do is make the best of it. And I guess you no longer live in Louisiana, so that helps, I suppose, as local law enforcement might make incorrect assumptions if you're ever in trouble there- I'm sure they don't forget so easily. Personally, I'd just stay out of trouble, lol- & I do tend to be "boring" anyway. ;)

And just to be sure, I just searched for meaning of black roses (which admittedly I'm not used to receiving), & while I assumed it meant something like "death to the recipient" apparently there are many other possible meanings, so I don't know what to tell you there. :confusd:

I'm planning to move back to Louisiana, but not to NO. I am planning to go back to Lake Charles, hopefully nothing catches up with me down there.
