well she gave my baby antibiotics just in case. She checked Kyna's mouth and nose but nothing was a miss. And my vet knows what she is doing. I would never take Kyna to a vet that wasn't completly competent

Disappointing ... Giving anti-biotics "just in case" is not a smart move ... frivolous use of anti-biotics is causing too many resistant strains of bacteria as it is ... a simple culture could have easily identified even the slightest trace of a respiratory infection and taken the guess work out of it ... a good vet would know that.

... and if the snake is still popping, wheezing, and making 'squeaking' noises there is a base problem that is causing it - something is off in the husbandry; check the temps and humidity and make sure they are not only correct, but stable.

The problem with giving that type of advice is that most keepers will stop there and skip the vet all together ... I hope that isn't the case here and I hope that your mom has some compassion for a living creature that may have gotten sick while in your care and may need medical attention.
That said, while you're waiting for the vet, increase your temps to the high 80's and bump your humidity to above 60% ... these steps might make the symptoms go away by hiding them, but your snake will still have a URI and will still need vet care. Respiratory infections can only be cured with a full course of anti-biotics.

Majority of reptile vets have differant charge scales so you really can not be given a acurite cost.It could be $50 and up in some cases.
