Feeding Help!!!
Ok so i got 3 ball pythons about a month ago- 1 proven breeder female normal- eats like a champ 1 proven spider male and 1 regular normal. The regular 800g normal ate the 1st day got her fine then week 2 she struck and missed repeatedly, there eating frozen thawed the spider never ate yet. All are in 41 quarts and are using kitty litter pans as hides. Help?

Try heating up the rodent with a hair dryer. Usually they miss if its not hot enough for them to see.

Re: Feeding Help!!!
You might need to warm them up for longer than you think. Some of mine want their F/T HOT. Otherwise they just refuse. Others will take them barely warmed up.

1.0 07 Spider ~Link~
1.1 07 Pastels ~Le Mon . Girlie~
1.0 07 100% Het Albino ~Mr. Man~

Re: Feeding Help!!!
Well my spider just shed out today and i offered him something. He seems VERY interested but just dosent quite want it... and my little girl just goes right past it... Should i be worried and try and feed live next week or is it just them going off feed because of breeding season? If i feed them live will they get hooked on it or will they still take f/t

Re: Feeding Help!!!
41 qt tubs are pretty big for ball pythons that size. It's great that some are feeding, but if you have trouble with some I'd try switching them to smaller tubs.
I'd also mention that I'd rather have a snake eating live than not eating f/t.

Re: Feeding Help!!!
switched my spider to a 28q and im guna pick up a 28q for the 780g female... A 15q is wayyy to small for her and my spider(900g) right?

No... they cram themselves into tiny holes in the ground in Africa so they are actually mroe comfrotable in smaller spaces. For example I keep my ball pythons in 6qt tubs until 800g or so, and they still go off feed when I upgrade to 32qt.

well i just happen to have 2 15q laying around. With a thing that small i dont need hides right? And this season when i start moving my male into my femals's 41q will the sudden change in size stress them?
