I live way up in the boondock's of NY, the true upstate, so going to an expo is at least a 5-6 hour drive. I would LOVE a central NY expo. I would probably go to about every single one. Haha. Im thinking Syracuse as good place for them to be held.

Hope everything can work out for this. Goodluck

If it seems like we will have enough support I will begin to hunt down places to hold the event!

I'd love to have one in Syracuse! I've heard there used to be one a few years back.... If you need help in any way please contact me. I live in the Utica area and will spread the word when you have details. All the locals here miss not having the show around anymore. I used to live 45 from the White Plains show. I moved up here 3 yrs ago and it costs so much in gas to go to W.P. and Hamburg that I only go to a handful every year. Again if I can help in anyway please let me know!

Will do I'm glad to see that there will be support in central NY I will be recruiting at the White Plains show this upcoming weekend to see if we can make something worthwhile. Then I will search for a place and we'll see about later this year!

Keep the comments coming we would definitely need a lot of support!

Thanks to everyone who has commented!

    Re: Central New York Herpers!!

A Central NY expo would be so awesome!! I keep wishing I could make it to White Plains again, but the distance and gas money, etc always prevents me from making the trek. Currently I'm only a half an hour away from Oneonta, so obviously that would be the best for me, but I'd definitely go to one in Binghamton, Albany or Syracuse too, and that's probably much more practical.

So yeah, although I don't have any animals to contribute, I'd love to see one closer than White Plains!! I'm with ya Frank!! And, like Pam said, if you ever need any help with anything just let me know!!

Thanks Erin Always good to see that there are people out in our community that would like to help make it grow! ............

Ok Let's keep this rolling I will be searching for a place as soon as spring peaks around the corner and if we can get enough vendors together we will run with it. I have some good friends in the radio industry in New York who are willing to throw up some ads once we get the ball rolling.......

If your a vendor or would like to be let me know....

    Re: Central New York Herpers!!

I've found a Spot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to know who we can get for vendors..... Now's the time to let me know if you'd be interested in vending in a Central NY Reptile Expo. As more information becomes available {Price per table, size of table, etc} I will be making announcements. I will tell you this place is gorgeous, and is in the center of a populated college town between 3 large cities in central New York. NOW'S THE TIME!!!!!! Let me know if you'd be interested!
