The Reptile Talks: 1st Symposium!
SPECIAL NOTE: There will be an auction on Saturday night at 6:00 to benefit USARK. Everyone is welcome to attend, even if you did not register for the symposium! Please come and join us, hang out with the speakers, and be part of this new conference. Vendors, symposium attendees, and the public are welcome to donate. USARK appreciates all donors and bidders! Stay after the auction to celebrate the life of Bob Mailloux.

Have you heard about The Reptile Talks happening in Anaheim in May? Speakers from all over the country are coming to this not-for-profit event to share their knowledge with attendees. The Reptile Talks seeks to promote inclusion and provide content that benefits the entire hobby; not just one segment or another. The goal is to run the gamut of interests in the community.

The Reptile Talks will donate all proceeds after operating expenses to USARK. There will also be an auction for USARK that is open to the public on Saturday night and donations from anyone are appreciated.

International Herpetological Symposium
Registration is open! The first Symposium of Captive Propagation and Husbandry of Reptiles and Amphibians was held in June 1976. That evolved into what we know today as the International Herpetological Symposium (IHS). The 46th meeting of the IHS will be in Knoxville, Tennessee. The city is also home to Zoo Knoxville (IHS tour/banquet on June 21) and nearby herping in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Each year, the IHS is held in a different location. Its purpose is to disseminate information and research pertaining to the natural history, conservation biology, captive management, and propagation of amphibians and reptiles. IHS also seeks to build a community open to all individuals interested in reptiles and amphibians.
