Thanks for all the good words. This is one of the best looking females I have. My pink eyelash vipers are really starting to color up nice. They may look better then this female, in another couple of years. I will soon get pics of the male. Maybe this weekend. When I got him he had stuck shed on everything but the head. I got all of it off I think, but this is why I havent taken pics yet.

These snakes have hinged fanges vs fixed fanges. They can lay flat against the room of the mouth, until a strike. During a strike they can move the fanges forward for a bite. If you look in the picture you will see the fanges at the roof of the mouth pointing toward the back of the mouth. Find the sheath invading the top of the tooth and look down it.

That's really interesting, I didn't even know about that. I figured they would show their fangs to intimidate or scare off anyone that is percieved as a threat.
