    Prolapse?

Hey guys one of my albino labs has not went to the bathroom in a long time and Ive soaked her daily and tried to help her get it out but she finally went today and I mean she really went! But her insides are hanging out now. Ive read about prolapse but Ive never actually experienced it. I tried to kind of see if I could get it back in there but I just didnt feel comfortable with that. I put lube on it though to see if it would make it easier to go back in. Any one got pointers on this? Im trying to get it to go back if not im going to have to take her to the vet to see if they could get it back

Sugar should help the swelling go down, since sugar absorbs moisture, I have seen it often given as advice on here.

    Re: Prolapse?

My bf had a king snake that prolapsed and it had to be put back surgically. The vet told him to keep the area moist with vaseline til he could get him in for the surgery. Hope all goes well.....

    Re: Prolapse?

Ariel had surgery yesterday to get it back in and they said there is a 50/50 chance of the tissue completly healing because it had started to lose blood. If it decays she will have to have abdominal surgery but if not she should be ok
