Baby rattlesnake
We were actually hiking, but I almost stepped right on this tiny baby. We really peed him off too, and he tried to strike me. I just wanted to get him out of the road so he wouldn't get ran over by all the traffic!
Edit: May be a copperhead?

copperhead! rattlesnakes have RATTLES, a lot of snakes rattle their tails,almost all colubrids do.
