    Finally some eggs!

About 6 months ago I bought a "proven pair" of dendrobates tinctorius "matecho" for $250. The months past and no evidence of breeding. No calling or anything. A week ago or so I decided I should just sell them as a probable pair since the female is huge and male little since I feel like I got hoaxed. Well I checked their one cocoa but tonight and sure enough 5 eggs. I'm not sure how long they have been there or if they are fertile or not, but it's a step in the right direction, atleast there's eggs.

So excited now, they regained my faith.

I'm trying not to disturb them too much, as I want them to do the tad transfer themselves when the time comes so the eggs are still in the tank. But I promise I will have a pic later if I remember, but deffiently one tomorrow.

Pics as promised. I'm pretty sure they are not fertile. But hey! I haven't seen any activity for like 6 months. They'll pop out more I'm sure.

Sweet! How long until any viable eggs complete metamorphosis?

I'm pretty sure they are all viable at this point. They hatch into tads at about 12 days and out onto land in about 4 months.

Thanks I'm hopeful. They were supposed to be my kickstarter to my business, since I can't own snakes at this junction in time, and they just wouldn't lay. Hopefully they keep it up.
