Hard water spots?

Do you use straight vinegar? Sounds safer than lime-away if that'll work!

I use straight white distilled vinegar on water bowls & cages with any water spots (with the snake in another temporary cage while I clean, of course).

Vinegar IS much safer than "Lime-Away" and it's very effective used full-strength; it rinses clean very easily & is much easier on the environment too.
If you get hard water deposits in water bowls, just let them soak with vinegar for about 30 minutes. (it's also good for cleaning toilets with...hard
water deposits happen there too- )

Vinegar is also cheaper by the gallon jug in grocery store...name brands not needed either.

I have always just used a razor blade on glass enclosures, and just scrape them clean. Works well on glass, and gives added piece of mind knowing I'm not using any sort of chemicals. Unfortunately though, its tough to get it all.
