You are probably right on some level. lol She spends a lot of time burrowed. If you look at the underside of her enclosure it kinda looks like an ant farm. She has her tunnels that she moves around in. It's pretty cool.

She got out of her tub sometime between last night and this afternoon. I was able to find her pretty quickly. She was under a small entertainment center not 5 feet from her tub. The only place I can think of that she could possibly get through is the ventilation holes in the tub but that's a real stretch. I think she would have damaged herself trying to get through. They are all about half as big around as her body. The lid is very tight and zip tied on one side and clipped on the other. I'm going to have to figure out another enclosure solution for her.. Such a little escape artist! lol

Oh boy she sure is. I caught her again in the act!! She was 3/4 of the way out. I cannot believe she could fit through such a tiny crack without hurting herself and why she waited a whole month to try to get out. I clamped it all the way around. I hope it holds her until I can get something different set up tomorrow.

Tubs have just enough flexibility for some snakes...you really have to be careful. I'm SO glad you caught her so quickly & I do hope she's ok internally-
they can & do hurt themselves sometimes in escapes like this. I had a hatchling (albino Calif.) king snake even escape from a store-bought glass terrarium
with a sliding screen lid: the lid was held in place by a peg, but the placement of the hole for the peg allowed a small bit of wiggle-room, just enough for a
tiny king snake to follow the track around the screen top out! I found her pretty fast, hiding in a boot in a nearby closet. As you now know, once they
find a way out, they remember it & do it again...

I put together a tank for Hela today. Srry for the crappy pics. I just snapped them quickly with my phone. It's a 20 long which should be just fine for a while. I put some brown construction paper on the back and sides so she wouldn't feel so exposed. She is in shed right now so I put a humid hide in there for her. She loves to cruise through those PVC tubes. She's like a little circus snake sometimes. lol I'm really enjoying her. I feel a lot better that she is in a more secure enclosure now.

That was pretty lucky, at least she’s got some more room to explore in there
