Calling Savu Python keepers.
There isn’t much information or discussion happening on the internet regarding Savu Pythons. Thought I would strike up a thread to get some dialogue going.
I’ll start here is my male Savu, Houdini. I love this species because they are very active and reminds me of the larger pythons but in an extremely compact body. What do you like about Savu’s?

Side note. Does anyone know how to edit posts? I meant thread, not threat!

There is a button by the reply and reply with quote buttons, but you have a very limited time to edit, like 10 minutes. After that, I think you'd have to get administrator permission.

I have 1.2. Been putting the male to the female this season. Fingers crossed that I get eggs.
I really like them. Because they're small, voracious, easily kept, and fairly easily handled they were quite popular as pets before ball python morphs took off about 20 years ago. They fell out of favor for a while as they're not very easy to breed but they're starting to make a comeback.

I have granted your wish. (I was going to fix it even before I read this, your next post, lol.)

I hope you get those eggs!. Were your savus cage shy when they we small? My guy is fiesty when I get him out, usually tries to tag me.but is a sweetheart once I get him in my hands. It's a shame how uncommon these snakes are.

They were all pretty defensive as babies but after a few months they settled down. They weren't nearly as bad as my BRB's were.
