    Rattlesnake survives for 2 years in a sealed compartment

    That one would have been at my "B & B" for rest & food before releasing- poor snake! He may be too weak to be effective at catching (killing) prey, since the production of venom requires protein he didn't have for nearly 2 years, not to mention some hydration.

    More proof that you don't need to lose your marbles when your properly housed Royal python, with plenty of water refuses a meal for 4 weeks or almost a year.

    While this is brutal and far from healthy, the reason reptiles can survive something like this, and other animals can't, is because they are designed for it.
