Sweet PDZ - for an odor-free feeder colony

Sounded like an advertisement for PDZ, huh...

    http://www.sweetpdz.com/

I use it for my pet hamsters house. It really works. They sell it at the feed store 3 miles from my house. So, I read up on it a bit to see if they are reptile friendly and it looks like it is. So, I started using it in my feeder rat colony as well. It was $16 for a 25 lb bag that looks like it's going to last me 2 years! I only sprinkle a little amount before I put the substrate during cleaning day (which for my hamsters is weekly but for my ASF rats could go longer).

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

We tried a couple bags of this a while ago. It DOES work, but for the price you pay for it, you might as well just use Equine Fresh. It's $6 for a 40 pound bag, and works just as good for the odors.

Hardly any. I use it with all my rats and it just absorbs all the urine smell. As long as you change it once it starts to completely break down there's never any smell. I have them in my bedroom and you can't even tell I have rats in there from the smell.

I think Adam was talking about this equine stuff on his site. He said he gets his from a local feed store I think. I am going to give it a shot.
