    New Reptile Shack

    Hey guys,
I just wanted to show off my latest project. I had been keeping my rodents and reptiles in my spare bedroom but the rats were being messy and ruining the carpet. My solution was to build a room in the garage. I started by insulating the garage door with styrofoam sheets. My next step was building the enclosure itself. It's 12' X 6' 6" which is enough room for my rat rack and cb-70 racks. The great thing is I have tons of storage space on top now.

I plan on building more racks out of XPVC if I can find any.

I was worried that it would be too cold, but the space heater keeps it in the mid 70's even on cold nights.

That's how I've always kept them. It may keep the snakes in an excited state due to the smell of rodents. I seriously doubt it affects the rodents though. I plan on adding an air purifier to take care of the smell.
