New babies and a kick in the pants

Got home from visiting my hubby in GA last Sunday (awesome trip!! ) and our second clutch was out of their eggs . Set them up and had to leave Monday morning for a week. Got home this past Sunday and they had shed . The pet sitter worked out GREAT! She had everything under control.

So here they are...one female spider poss het lav. albino and het dinker . I really like her but seems to have a slightly stummpy tail.

The second hatchling form that clutch, male poss het lav. albino and het dinker.

Holding back both these guys for this project. Should be cool if I ever get some good luck.

Here is the kick in the pants...Het caramel male x Poss het caramel female...7 sluggs . First year for both these guys but sheesh...hope next year is better.

Still waiting on 2 more girls to lay and hopefully 2 more will ovulate soon. What a roller coaster of a summer!

Those spiders are really good looking! Sorry to hear that your carmals had a bunch of slugs but, there will always be next year to try.

    Good luck!

Thanks! Dad has a stub tail too, seems to be genetic but didn't effect breeding obviously. I was worried he might not be able to get the job done but no problems. Doesn't effect his piens either. Niether of them wobble though which is a plus. The other hatchlings tail is fine so it will be interesting to see if his defect/trait is limited to only his spider offspring.

Thanks! Just one spidy though, wish we had more (one egg went bad about two weeks in and had a small developed embryo).

Yeah, hopefully we can prove out the poss het caramel girl next year. Waiting stinks!

Thanks! I think the spider makes up for the bad year (I'm easy to please, LOL!).

I knew when I saw her laying flat with "eggs" under her there was a problem. She didn't even bother to coil arond them, lol. Also, she was due to lay the 29th but didn't look big at all. Super bummed, now I have to write my husband with the bad news. He was so exited to possably get a caramel.
