For those of you who have issues with RTB.net...

We here at BP.net are passionate about our animals. There's no doubt about that. And (as a general rule) we're passionate about staying open-minded to the variety of ways to care for those animals. We really, really don't like it when someone comes here and starts insisting that their way of doing things is the only right way of doing it. Am I right? I think we can all remember a time when we've shaken our head and wondered why this person feels like they can come into our community and start telling us what to do?

Well folks...the people at RTB.net are just as passionate about the care of their animals. And (as a generall rule) they are passionate about fighting against the risks of feeding live prey. There are LOTS of herpers who feel that way, and RTB.net gives them a place to belong and not feel like they are constantly being attacked for their views or beliefs. There is nothing wrong with that.

If you really like the people there and you enjoy the bulk of the conversations...then you need to keep your opinions of "live feeding" to yourself and not constantly start arguments about it. I'm fairly sure we have members here who love our site, except for the fact that so many of us feed live....but they don't feel like they have to constantly confront that issue and "convert" us to their way of thinking. Or if you can't stand it there because of the "closed-mindedness" (as you see it) of their membership....then just stay out!

Their mods and admins have a job to do...to maintain RTB.net as the forum they envision it to be. Just as we do here. You should not expect them to do it the same way we do...because every single forum out there is different. They're not perfect, of course. And neither are we. But you choose to let the benefits of the site outweigh those imperfections...or you avoid the site altogether. Anything else is nothing more than a destructive waste of time.

It is firmly against our TOS to start flame wars with other forums...and members here who are seen doing that will find that there are consequences for it. Even if you don't mention BP.net in your posts (and heaven forbid if you do!!!) most everyone there knows most everyone here...and vice-versa. If you are known to be a regular member here...and you go start crap over there, it makes the entire BP.net site look bad. And it invites trolls to come over here and make life miserable for all the members and staff. We will not let that happen.

It is not your job to convince anyone their thinking is flawed or wrong. And no matter how smart or clever you think you are....if that is what you are trying to do, you are almost guaranteed to fail. So just stop. Please.

I also agree. I am sorry Judy for the crap I started over ther yesterday, and then I said a few things that made BP.net look bad but i guess I worded it wrong because I did not mean it like it came out. I know I should think twice before I post because somethings are better left unsaid than said. I also think that I should just use better self control. I will just not go over there anymore because I cant stand it so I will stay here where I love it. I am sorry if I caused some trouble and I sincerely appoligize for it and, I can promise you that it wont happen again.
