    Help!! Is something wrong with my snake??

    I was looking at my snake today and noticed this??

    What is wrong with him?



    0.1 Spider Het Orange Ghost
    1.1 Yellow Belly Ball Python
    1.0 Pastel Ball Python
    1.1 100% Het Pied Ball Python
    1.1 100% Het Orange Ghost Ball Python
    0.7 Normal Ball Python

    That looks like a prolapse. You can soak it in warm sugar water to encourage the swelling down and get it to shrink, if it does not go in at all, then you will have to keep it moist (vasaline maybe?) and get him to a vet immediately so that the flesh does not dry out and die.

    ok I have him in warm water right now, I will have to go get some sugar.

    I live in MI and don't know of any herp vets in my area??

    How does this happen? is it something i did?

    Sometimes when they get stressed or feel very unsafe they will do that to scare the predator/enemy away, Did something very stressful happen? Possibly when you were handling him?

    I've never heard of that. I've never seen a prolapse, but that would be my guess. How would a lump of tissue hanging out a snake's butt scare a preditor away?
