Re: *UPDATE* HELP, BP skin damage with pictures (DUW)
I'd see a vet if it's at all possible. I had something similar going on recently with a male breeder of mine's vent and it turned out to be an internal laceration and a beginning infection.

That may not be what yours has going on, but it never hurts to have the doc dig around and have a look.
Get some antibiotics injected to fight off any infection that may have or has already started, and clean the areas thoroughly with a weak chlorhexadine solution then apply a small amount of an antibiotic ointment without painkiller.
That's what worked for me with my boy thanks to the advice of a great breeder here, and my vet agreed.

that looks like two puncture wounds, that would also be why blood is comming from his vent as im sure his GI tract has punctures as well.
vet vist asap as that already looks to be infected and that can geat deadly quick if fecal matter is getting into the blood stream.

Re: *UPDATE* HELP, BP skin damage with pictures (DUW)
it is starting to sound alot worse than i had thought, it is starting to get me very worried.
I cannot get him to a vet tonight, and maybe not even for a day or two, is this too long? and what can i do in the mean time to try and prevent infection, and to stop this from getting any worse?

post #2 gives the reccomendations for this. it needs an antibiotic shot from the vet and the rest you can treat your self.

In the mean time, I have polysporin which I have used with my geckos to put on the wound
Should I be puttin some on the vent aswell?

If it's already infected on the inside, external application of a topical antibiotic isn't likely to help. Get it to a vet.

thats what he plans on doing. read up.he is looking for suggestions in the meantime until the vet visit.
the best you can do is disinfect the external wound according to the advice in post #2
also, do you feed live it looks like he bit himself.

The best thing you can do for him now is get him on paper towl substrate. Might as well put the polysporin on, it couldn't hurt. At least it will help to prevent further infection.
