Eggs and Pictures!
If you remember this thread..
http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=92116
It turns out, I got the eggs. And they are in perlite and are doing pretty well. There were originally 12 eggs, and 4-5 of them looked dehydrated. Heres the picture I have of the first day I received them.

As you can tell, I didn't have much hope for the 4 on the right. This was on May 21st and supposively, they were born on May 20th.
Heres a picture of them from today. 3 out of the 4 I had little hope for are beginning to mold and yellow. One of the 4 (the closest to the clump of eggs) has revitalized itself and is looking 100% better.

P.S. The first pic shows the only stray egg in the upper right corner, but I moved it to the bottom center to keep it in the best of temperatures and humidity.
I am currently incubating these guys at 79-83 F. I need to know if that needs to be changed immediately. I have plastic wrap on the inner portion underneath the lid to hold in humidity and I have the temp probe in the substrate to avoid it getting to warm. I did attempt to candle a bit, and did see something that appeared to be yolk and veins. Mainly I found a red spot with a larger circle around that.
Tell me if theres anything else I have to do! This is my first shot at this!
Edit: Also, how long do they take to hatch on average? I'm getting a lot of mixed information..

I'm incubating mine at 82-84. I've read on www.cornsnakes.com that's a good range.
As for separating them you could use unwaxed dental floss and be very very careful.

Your temps are perfect. High 70s to low 80's is perfect! And don't separate them. No need to, you'll end up doing more harm than good. Even the bad ones, just leave them be. They won't affect the healthy ones. Everything you have set up looks dead on, I wouldn't futz with any of it. Congrats!
At the temps you have I'd expect eggs in 65-75 days. Maybe a little sooner, maybe a little later. Mine usually hatch in ~65 days at those temps, though one clutch went to day 82 last year.

Wow, longer than I expected. So it's really that variable?
Thank you! What should I do if the mold starts to spread to the healthy eggs? Or if such mold starts growing on the healthy eggs? I'm hoping they'll just dry up and fall off.
What I found amazing is that so many of the dehydrated ones poofed up and showed amazing signs of hydration only after a week. I thought most were goners for sure.
I'm going to need a lot of help re-homing these guys. I can't keep them all, and they will all be normals. If you guys have any ideas on homes, let me know. I doubt they'd go for anything as breeders, even though they are het. Amelanistic. Who knows, with corns maybe something weird will pop out for me.

In my experience its usually in the 65 day range, but there are always exceptions. And my exception last year was 82 days. But other than that all were 65-70 days.

It shouldn't really attack it. I had some eggs go bad in a clutch this year, but the rest are doing OK, if I remember to I'll snap a pic so you can see that the healthy eggs are doing just fine and not getting infected. If it does spread, there's not much you can do. But like I said, healthy eggs won't be affected by it.

Yeah, they are really resilient. Good job getting them back in shape!

Amel, anery, and to a lesser extent hypo are fairly common in the gene pool. You never know what will pop out.
