So I take it the body twitch creates a pressure wave which triggers the snakes lateral line into thinking the attack is coming from that direction?

I wish there could be some agreement on the captive care of these guys.

I've read various conflicting articles. High ph, low ph, brackish setup, no salt, etc etc...they seem like they'd be pretty awesome to keep. Combines my interest in aquaria and reptiles.....

How similar are they to these snakes?

How much waste to they produce and what kind of filtration would it need to deal with it? as I wonder if the fact it is not a semi-constant excretion like a normal fishtank full of fish would affect the operation of any biological filtration?
